A Visit to Malaysia: Fabulous Experience

The Petronas Twin Towers – The world’s tallest twin towers at 451.9 m tall with 88 storeys. It’s highly recommended to pre-book the tower observation tour. It comprises access to the 41st-floor skybridge and 86th-floor observation deck. The view is mesmerising, and one needs to be there in person to absorb the panoramic beauty of the city from 370 M height.
Malaysia’s oldest Sikh Gurdwara was granted to the Sikh Police force in the 19th century. There are 126 total Gurdwaras in the country. Small in structure but large with Sikh generosity and hospitality. There are a handful of visitors every day, mostly tourists, since the Sikh population in Kuala Lumpur is not very large. Despite that, the Gurdwara continues with the traditional ‘Langar’ (Free Kitchen), and I was courteously asked to partake of the vegetarian lunch in the langar hall.

A view from the Petronas Tower across the road.

The Year of the Horse- Chinese New Year 2026. It started on the 17th February, and we were informed that the celebrations last for two weeks! This was an added bonus, especially when it came as a surprise. The Malls and the streets were beautifully decorated with lanterns and horse figurines/images all around. It seemed like the town was sprayed by gorgeous red vibrance. We could hear fireworks sporadically throughout the day and night, no matter where we were in the city.

  1. What a lovely way to start a morning, especially after having seen horrendous headlines of death and the destruction of a nation by a demented madman. Merci for the incredible photographs that gave us a little sweet vacation from the horrors of some men who wanted to rule the world with hatred and began the process long ago. Perhaps it is to our credit that we did not see this coming, having very little ability to see the ruthlessness in these individuals until it surfaced. Pathetic human beings but your articl lifted our sagging spirits and thank you again.
