2024: Resolution is not just a slogan

The world is complete within our own mind; what we see and live in is just a reflection of the same mental vision. With this thought, let’s analyse how we can make the world around us better.
Help the needy, we want peace not war, love the animals, …and so many such generic and abstract slogans blast on social media which we’ve got so immune to… blah, blah, blah. Because words are easy but action requires pulling a finger. But don’t let this big word- ACTION- daunt you either from taking the small but crucial step towards the right choice; the key is the concept of ‘choice’ here.
So, choose a target that you are absolutely resolved to achieve, however small this step seems in the macrocosm of the vast world- For example, adopt a pet- remotely or actually bring it home ‘for life’; be kind to someone vulnerable-  someone with mental health issues, or just alone during the festive time; stop feeding on politics induced with toxic preservatives; refrain from passing judgement without knowing the facts; be charitable without prejudice, opt for peace over internal bitterness, etc. etc. and the list of noble targets go on. Choose what resonates with you; the choice you’ll make will be the reflection of your own inner world. Make this world a better place before venturing out.
 It’s the little humane steps which would make both worlds a better place – inside and outside.
We’ve seen (enough) the disastrous effects of choices made by over-bearing institutions, like, religions, politics, and corporates, on our behalf generically. Plug this hole in our system by standing formidably by the choice ‘you’ make for yourself by your own free will; otherwise, the tsunami of wrong choices – ready to use in the brain-washed tins- would drown our conscious forever.  
This is not a sermon, because every single one of us has the same power to resolve own mindset.
My choice for 2024: I shall let go of all the toxic people I thought I was obliged to be decorous with; and re-claim my inner peace, without bitterness. Amen🙏
