Law of attraction: Correlation between Belief and Expectation

I believe in God’s generosity to ‘give’, and I expect to receive this generosity – sound like a familiar thought? Of course, it’s what most of us feel and why such a craze about the Law of Attraction! We believe, we expect and we get…..hang on, not so fast. LOA might work miracles in our lives, but is certainly no magic trick, whatever the media gurus and coaches claim, frankly.
So what does it mean? In my spiritual experience, the expectation is the consequence of belief, and what we manifest is a direct result of our belief plus expectation ‘beyond any doubt’.
Belief is confidence, positivity, and trust- in what is;  Expectation is a calculation, projection, and assurance- of what should be: I believe in myself to desire right, the Universe (God) to give right, and because of my belief I should receive right.
However convincing this theory might be, it’s after all a science- a Law. So, there’s a plan and discipline involved in its execution.  First I need to be absolutely sure about the thought that the power of the Omnipotent is real. ‘Only’ then would I be motivated to invest morally strong karma in order to build my expectations from the Omnipotence of the Almighty. God is generous but am I worthy of receiving the blessings? Expectations take time to take hold in the soil of your faith. The science starts with meditation and meditation starts with introspection. One needs to nurture the trust in God/ Nirankar with righteous thoughts first, which would beget virtuous actions. The definition of virtuous action is subjective. For example, it might mean selfless service towards others only, but for me, it means ‘charity begins at home’, i.e. Me. After all, it’s my belief, my expectation, my life. Others do matter but fall in place once I sort my own mindset. I would also stress the fact that action is the bridge between the belief and the expectation.
Thence, Belief is the primary foundation on which one should build Expectation, gradually. To summarise, I start with a growing belief in God ‘beyond doubt’- this is imperative or the miracle won’t work. Consequently, I would be motivated and influenced to ‘do right’ by myself first and then the community by default since my action/karma would be morally justified.
The third step of evolution would be to build expectation, i.e. confidence in receiving returns, ‘beyond doubt. It’s at this third step that the Law of Attraction is fully charged and desire is ready to manifest.
Those who expect without constructing belief, are building a castle in the air.

  1. It’s an inside job, when I started manifesting my beliefs and self hatred out trumped my desires… when one truly has faith in the unfolding and how benevolent the universe is we see our lives as perfect and that everything is in order. Blessings to you xx
